Whether you’ve seen me on TV, read my book, worked with me, laughed with me, or just generally know of me… thanks for visiting my website. In 2017 I was diagnosed with a rare disease called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). I can’t even begin to explain how terrifying it is to lose your ability to move and breathe, without knowing why. After a few days in the hospital, doctors could tell me what I had (GBS) but they could never tell me why I had it.
I was in the hospital for a month and released on the condition that my mom would be staying with me to help take care of me. One week after being released from the hospital, I went to rural Cuba for a mission trip that I had previously agreed to chaperone. No one could believe that I was going, but a friend encouraged me to write a book about it. So I did. You can check out my book here.
After I released my book and made my Instagram profile public, I found that I’m not the only GBS patient with a ton of questions. So I decided to create a website where I could continue telling my story, and provide useful information for my fellow GBS fighters.
That some good can be derived from every event is a better proposition than that everything happens for the best, which it assuredly does not. ~James K. Feibleman
